World's Tallest Building Planned in Iraq

New, 13 comments

A skyscraper planned for Iraq's Basra Province will be the tallest building in the world if it is completed as proposed, rising 1,152 meters (3,780 feet) into the sky, passing the current tallest building, the 829-meter Burj Khalifa in Dubai, as well the future tallest building, the under-construction Kingdom Tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which will be 1,008 meters tall.

The Bride tower, as it has been named, is designed by AMBS Architects, who describe it as "the first vertical city in the world," and is composed of four conjoined towers topped with an enormous antenna.
