56-Room Mansion Asks $579K, Is Unsurprisingly Not in Great Shape

New, 6 comments

The Dery Mansion in Pennsylvania is actually probably in better condition than you might expect, considering that it was built in 1900, cost $1.5 million back then (which would be about $22 million now), and is now on the market for $579,000. "It's not in any danger of collapsing," the listing agent boasts, and hey, that's not nothing. He estimates that it would take about another $1.5 million to fix the place up.
