British architecture critic Oliver Wainwright, who gets to photograph all the good dictatorships, just posted this tweet with pictures of Vittorio Garatti's School of Ballet in Cuba. Garatti designed and built the school from 1961 to 1965, but construction was abandoned due to a shifting political climate that favored Soviet style architecture. Now, as you can see it is nothing more than a beautiful ruin.
