Sitting for long periods of time apparently decreasing productivity, hence the standing desk. But do you know what really seems like it would decrease productivity? Standing on a surfboard while using a computer. Nevertheless, there is now a surfing desk, as we continue our steady march to having a type of desk for every known body position. Next up, probably: the modern dance desk, the reaching-to-get-something-of-a-high-shelf desk, and, of course, the crouching-while-looking-over-your-shoulder desk.
