Updated: When Ski Areas Are Opening for 2015-2016 Season

New, 1 comment

After the latest winter storm in the west, we've updated this list of when ski areas will open. Did we miss one? Email us at

While Killington and Sunday River kicked off the 2015-16 ski season earlier this month and Loveland is poised to be the first Colorado resort to open this week, the majority of ski areas in North America won't start running until mid- to late-November — if conditions are favorable. To give skiers and riders an idea of when they should start breaking out their gear, Curbed Ski put together a list of the anticipated opening dates for some of ski country's most popular resorts.
