Will Leather Goods opened a new flagship store in Midtown Detroit this week, a 9,000-square-foot "concept space" designed by Birmingham architects McIntosh Poris Associates in consultation with William Adler Design. It's housed in the former Tomboy grocery store, a bit of an eyesore that was sold to Will Leather after being listed for $650K last year. Detroiters may question midtown's gentrification, but in this case, we'll take a chi chi new shop over the building's previous incarnation as a place lousy with "bums, beggars, hookers and drug dealers," according to Metro Times.
