Donald Wexler pretty much invented the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic of Palm Springs that everyone knows today, arriving for a six-month assignment in the early 1950s and staying for decades, meanwhile pioneering the steel-framed Modernist houses the city's known for today. Now the Mid-Century Modern Palm Springs house that he built for himself and his family back in 1955 is up for sale (the Wexlers sold it in the 1990s).
