Argentinian architect Carlos Alejandro Ciravegna's row of rectangular, modular houses in the mountainous Córdoba region of Argentina embraces the topography, however irregular it may be. To avoid altering the site, Ciravegna cantilevered the houses over the rocky terrain, each sitting at a slightly different angle and elevation, and in turn offering distinctive views of the San Roque lake in the distance. Some are flat roofed, others sloping, but all have a commanding presence in their bare, white volumes made from situ-cast concrete, bricks and ceramic blocks.
