Location: Tarzana, California
Price: $5,500,000

Built in 1972 by father-son team Richard and Dion Neutra, this knockout modern house is pretty much a dream (even if the interiors could use a little modernizing and enlivening). Set on a nearly 3-acre plot, the 5,500-square-foot house offers 4 bedrooms and 5 baths. To boot, the house offers 360-degree views of the surrounding canyon and greater Los Angeles. Inside, beamed ceilings and broad glass windows remain, too, keeping the signature Neutra look—a quintessentially midcentury modern one—alive. Outside, a pool, hot tub, and more offer outdoor places to get lost in that view.

The house was commissioned by late Filmation Studios head Louis Scheimer, who ran the company that brought the U.S. several beloved cartoon series, including The Ghost Busters (different from the hit movie of the same name!) and He-Man.
