Hawaiian company Elevate Structure Inc. designed these miniature houses to leave as little of a footprint as possible—not only to they come with many of the standard sustainable accouterments (solar panels, rainwater collection, etc.) but their actual physical footprint is tiny, as they are raised off the ground on a 5 ft. x 8 ft. trunk that doubles as a water storage tank. That, doubled with the living walls that coat the house, give it the look of a futuristic treehouse.
