Jackson Hole has big things planned this winter for the ski area's 50th season, and new terrain opening this weekend means that the mountain will have all lifts up and running. After receiving over 100 inches already this season, the Aerial Tram opens today and on Saturday, December 19, the resort will open the new Teton Lift, Eagle's Rest, Sweetwater, Moose Creek and Union Pass chairs. The Teton Lift marks the ski area's first terrain expansion since 1997. The new detachable grip quad rises 1,722 feet, will take approximately 4 minutes, and can handle over 2,000 people per hour.
