Our first thought when we looked at this house in the Chicago suburbs was: why don't more houses have unique facades like this one? And our second thought was: oh yeah, because of those evil Homeowners Associations and their draconian rules. *shakes fist at sky* Homeowners Associatiooooooooooons!
But anyway, rules or no rules, this facade is a whole lot of fun. Artist Kate McQuillen created it for the Terrain Biennial by layering on panels of weatherproof styrene on which the design had been digitally printed.
