Construction of the World's Longest Ice Bridge Starts Today

New, 4 comments

A team of Finnish students and volunteers begins construction on the world's longest ice bridge (16 feet wide, 213 feet long) today, and they won't stop until the project is done because if they did their construction equipment would freeze. In order to accomplish this monumental task, they will work in shifts in order to ensure that the work continues 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until it is completed around February 13. Once finished, bridge will be strong enough to support a car.
