More architecture and design gorgeousness out of Australia (where it's summer, which makes our staff here in New York very jealous). This time, the Down Under beauty moment comes courtesy of Sydney-based architecture firm Ian Moore Architects, whose design team masterminded this clean-lined, whitewashed extension for an early-20th century Arts and Crafts bungalow in the Aussie capital. The two-story addition—which also makes room for a brand-new carport—replaces an earlier, circa-1980s annex on the home and is clad in operable shutters that provide shade and help filter sunlight entering the structure. Inside, the first level accommodates an open-plan kitchen/living/dining room and the second level holds three bedrooms. Take a look!
