Color authority Pantone has named two colors as its Colors of the Year: Pink and Blue, which narrowly edged out crowd favorites such as Green, Brown, and Brownish Orange. This marks the third victory for Pink, which took home the title in 2001 and 2011, and the fifth for Blue, which has now solidified its reputation as the Meryl Streep of colors, having already won in 2000, 2003, 2005, and 2008.
"I would like to thank my parents, Red and White," Pink said in its acceptance speech. "As well as all of the great colors that have given me advice along the way: Yellow, Purple—oh, is that really all the time I have? Thank you so much."
Pink and Blue have already announced plans to appear jointly in an upcoming sunset.
