The protesters trying to block the Thirty Meter Telescope being constructed on Hawaii's Mauna Kea mountain have gotten their way, for now, as the state's Supreme Court pulled the construction permit. "Quite simply, the board put the cart before the horse when it issued the permit before the request for a contested case hearing was resolved and the hearing was held," the decision said. The protesters, many of whom have been arrested for blocking the telescope's construction, contend that it should not be built on sacred ground, and will now have a chance to be heard in court.
