After decades of planning, Utah's Snowbird ski area now has a brand-new oasis on the top of Hidden Peak. The 23,000-square-foot building was part of the original vision of Dick Bass and Ted Johnson when they founded Snowbird in 1971, but the project didn't come to fruition until the resort's recent $35 million capital investment project. Skiers access the Summit Lodge via the iconic Snowbird tram, so guests can visit the facility on foot or skis. The new building boasts a restaurant, restrooms, and plenty of event space that will be used in both winter and summer.
