Squeeze Into the Tiniest Cape Cod Microhomes of 2015

It's the end of December and thus, time to make up a bunch of awards for the best, worst and most absurd things that happened in Cape & Islands' real estate, architecture and neighborhoods. Here now, your 2015 Curbed Awards.

It's time to squeeze into Cape Cod's tiniest listings of 2015. From a wicked wee 162 square feet to a rather, umm, roomy 255 square feet, here are 12 microhomes that will no doubt cause a shudder amongst claustrophobics, micro-living haters and/or McMansion lovers.

Kicking off with a relatively huge 255-square-foot post-and-beam loft by way of Provincetown.

While the 239-square-foot Unit 3 at Provincetown's 385 Commercial Street doesn't come with its own little parking spot, there is a storage space and it probably has room for something with a wheel or two.

Set on historic Route 6A in historic Sandwich, this 238-square-foot space dates to 1938 and is part of a condo community made up of 17 detached cottages and is "just around the corner from East Sandwich Beach.

Provincetown's Angel's Landing Association is home to two of the tiniest listings for sale in 2015, including this 208-square-foot unit, a turnkey studio with direct access to a deck on Provincetown Harbor beach.

Located in the same condo complex as the tiniest cottage for sale on Cape Cod, this wee West Yarmouth abode is pretty much a McMansion at 192 square feet. The single room Unit 13 hit the market for $79,900, but is now hoping for $74,900.

Built in 1940, this updated Truro unit also weighs in at all of 192 square feet, but listed with an Outer Cape-style asking price of $125K.

This three-season "tiny house/studio" was built in 1961 and weighs in at 188 square feet. The Eastham condo was originally listed at $127K, but is now down to $119K.

This year, the little Provincetown condo known as Cormorant took a big meeting with the PriceChopper when the ask for 186-square-foot unitdropped from $245K to $199K.

This 170-square-foot Provincetown condo is right on the beach and just "steps away from all of the action on Commercial Street!" Oh, and the little place has a serious case of shingles.

Here's another unit in West Yarmouth's Beechwood Cottages, this one weighing in at all of 168 square feet.

The second tiniest listing on Cape Cod in 2015 was this 163-square-foot Provincetown condo known as "Hope."

Finally, to the tiniest cottage for sale on Cape Cod in 2015. The diminutive digs, as in just 162 square feet, by way of West Yarmouth were on the market in 2014, returned this year as a weekly summer rental, and finally sold in September.
