Stylist and HGTV Design Star winner Emily Henderson recently took Architectural Digest España inside her Los Angeles home, a rundown house "stuck in the 80s" turned dreamy abode with charming midcentury flair. The place offers some common attributes of California modernism—a large stone fireplace, soaring beamed ceilings, a wall of glass, and retro furniture—it also puts its own spin on things. Note, for example, the extra homey long bench along the wall with the fireplace, a giant potted tree, custom-designed shelves, and a split-level living room.
