Edgartown Antique With Lighthouse Views Sells for $3,333,333

Not only did this Edgartown Village antique sell for a rather odd $3,333,333, but the property went for over ask after being on the market for just over a year.

Built in 1855 by Jeremiah Pease Jr., the 10-room house at 124 North Water Street features a 1970s addition with a total of 7BR, 2.5BA in 2,612 square feet with views of Edgartown Lighthouse and the outer harbor towards Chappy. In addition to the main residence, the .30 acre lot includes a "detached cottage bedroom suite, tool shed and still ample room for play and/or a pool" in the back yard. Located on the Fourth of July parade route, the in-town spread is close to "the Harborview Hotel and all the village of Edgartown has to offer from restaurants, movies, shops and scenic vistas." First listed in October 2014 for $3,175,000, the 160-year-old sold for $158,333 over ask late last week.
