Earlier this week, the Pitkin County commissioners narrowed potential concepts down to two final designs for Aspen, Colorado's new airport terminal. The news comes after a September meeting during which the county approved a new terminal of up to 80,000 square feet, a runway upgrade to accommodate larger aircraft, and new above-ground parking. Community members preferred designs that were setback in order to minimize the terminal's visibility from Highway 82, and a rooftop restaurant is also being considered.
