Apparently, Bathroom Privacy Is Out in Silicon Valley

The owners of a Joseph Eichler-designed home in Palo Alto, California decided to take the whole "indoor-outdoor" concept to the extreme with this glass-walled bathroom, courtesy of Klopf Architecture. Look, an "outdoor" shower is one thing, but how connected to nature are you really going to feel using that toilet? More to the point, how connected do you want to feel? When it comes to the...ahem...facilities, we were always under the impression that people want to be as disconnected from the outside world as humanly possible, and that basically the entire point of civilization is that you get to use the restroom in complete private. Apparently, the tides are turning, though.
