Vermont ski resorts have responded to officials who want to reconsider their leases on state land: let's talk in about 40 years. Last month, state Auditor Doug Hoffer issued a study that found that the 50 to 100-year leases the state agreed to with ski resorts in the mid to late 1900s are dated and inconsistent. Hoffer contends that the leases benefit the resorts more than the state. The Vermont Ski Areas Association contend its a good deal for both parties. More info, this way. [Stowe Today]
