Nantucket Estate on Polpis Harbor Returns for $12.5 Million

New, 1 comment

To state the obvious, although over $1 billion in property sold on Nantucket in 2014, not every listing found a buyer. Case in point, this new(ish), very tricked-out estate on Polpis Harbor.

We wrote about the six bedroom known as "Deer Run" last April when the 2.83 acre waterfront property hit the market for $12,950,000. Back then, the brokerbabble left no polished nickel fixture behind, but these days, it's not quite as wordy. Here's a sample of how the storm-ready spread is summed up in 2015:

Exceptional attention to detail including wood moldings, heavy-duty hurricane mahogany true-divided light windows, doors, and walnut floors. Highly engineered SAVANT technology, iPAD-touch for audio, geothermal AC, and complete power generation in the event of power outage. Heated Gunite pool and a wonderful entertainment area in the lower level that includes a theater, exercise room, pool table, Sub Zero wine storage and tasting room. In addition to the main residence, a guest house, and views galore, Deer Run offers access to a deep water dock, two moorings and a storage area for tenders. After a meeting with the PriceChopper, the Wauwinet manse has returned hoping for $12,499,000.
