Extra attention is being lavished on the ladies this winter and it's no wonder—the 2014 SIA Snowsports Intelligence Report, a compilation of research by the industry trade association, tracked a 37% increase in women's junior snowboard equipment sales and 13% increase in the sales of women's skis in an otherwise flat market. Resorts, athletes and brands are all jumping on the bandwagon offering women opportunities to get outside together. While the majority of gatherings all focus on bringing women together, the offerings diversify from there. We've rounded up four of the best, this way.
↑ Breckenridge Ski Resort is in the midst of a Women's Ski Week featuring women's-specific ski and snowboard lessons, demos, happy hours and a film festival February 14–22, 2015. The lineup looks pretty stellar, so check it all out here!
↑ SheJumps is a mission-based organizations founded by professional female skiers aimed at increasing female participation in outdoor activities and offering programs from group resort ride days to the "Alpine finishing school" ski mountaineering course. More info here.
↑ Burton Snowboards is hosting an 8-stop Burton Girls Ride Day resort tour offering Burton snowboard demos and group rides. See all the stops here.
