In 2014, Steamboat Springs saw the highest grossing year in real estate since 2008, and much of the market was driven by high-end residential and large commercial sales. Routt County saw just under $600 million in transactions last year, amounting to an increase of more than 18% from 2013. Steamboat has been slower to recover from the economic downtown than some other ski towns, so this is good news for Yampa Valley residents. [Steamboat Today]
