Paul McCartney's childhood home in Liverpool sold for £150K (~$230K) on Thursday, at an auction held at the rebuilt Cavern Club, a venue The Beatles played at early in their career. Four-year-old McCartney and his family moved into the three-bedroom home in 1947 and lived there for 6 years.
The house was purchased for £50K more than its guide price by an anonymous bidder. George Harrison's childhood Liverpool home also sold at auction in October of last year. (Also, John Lennon's toilet sold for £9,500 in 2010.)
McCartney's restored teenage home in Liverpool is still open for tours, as is John Lennon's.
