Powder Alert

A new Ski Utah blog post looks at how a 3 meter discus weather buoy floating in the Pacific Ocean just might be the key to predicting powder days in Utah. Apparently, whenever the buoy records a spike in wave height, Utah gets a decent snow storm two weeks later. The buoy even has its own Facebook page. Is this the secret to Utah powder? We don't know but rest assured we'll be tracking this special buoy, and if looks legit, you can expect some more info. [Ski Utah]
