Elle Decor España recently profiled the gorgeous home of Madrid-based interior designer Celia Gómez, who managed to craft a cozy dwelling from a once dilapidated workshop. Taking advantage of the space's high ceilings and large open space, Gomez jazzed it up with an inner courtyard and a brightly-lit loft.
The home is experienced in layers. A sliding door at the end of an airy entrance hall (converted from a garage!) opens up to an open-plan living room, dining room, and kitchen. From there, another sliding door leads to the main bedroom, which like the central living area, bathes in light from the courtyard. A metal staircase goes up to the loft, where a guest room and a work space surrounded by exposed brick walls and air ducts sit under plenty of skylights.
