Housing Watch

In an effort to combat the increasingly difficult problem of ski-town housing, Steamboat Springs is hoping to build 48 affordable two- and three-bedroom apartments on the west side. The Yampa Valley Housing Authority has chosen Kansas-based Overland Property Group from among three proposals to develop the apartments that would be built on 10 acres the YVHA owns on lower Elk River Road. Construction would not begin before 2016. [Steamboat Today]
