Fancy chickens of Long Island aren't the only ones getting designer homes these days. Over in Seubersdorf, Germany, German firm Kühnlein Architecture has completed a delightfully simple wooden barn for goats. Built solely from layered timber beams, the structure puts a streamlined, modern spin on the traditional wood block construction common to the region—in fact, it looks like it belongs right next to this couple's modern retreat built among grazing sheep.
According to the designers, since the project intentionally steers free of elaborate spatial arrangements and expensive materials, it's an "attractive and economical" alternative to manufactured sheds from hardware stores.
