Jackson Hole's Western Motel will soon be demolished after nearly 60 years in business. Originally built as a summer motel in 1954 several years before Jackson Hole Mountain Resort existed, owner Jay Varley ran the business as an "overflow motel" and eventually as employee housing. Now, the Western Motel will be torn down and replaced with a 121-room Mariott. More details, this way. [Jackson Hole Property Guide]
