A proposed Heavenly Mountain Resort project to allow year-round outdoor activities took another big step forward Thursday with approval from the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. The Vail Resorts-funded Epic Discovery Project was unanimously approved by TRPA's Governing Board, so now the project heads to the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board and the U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit for approval.
