After rumors swirled that this weekend could be the end for Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley, the resorts just announced that they will keep the lifts turning until April 5. Recent snowfall will no doubt help ski operators make it through another week, and at least the two resorts made it longer than some of their competitors. Still, the drought in California has decimated the Tahoe ski season, and no one in Tahoe is going to be skiing until Memorial Day this year. [Unofficial Alpine and Curbed Ski, previously]
