Professional Snowboarder Mike Basich may be done making a name for himself in competitions, but he's been making waves with a new video that shows just how cool his 228-square-foot self-sustaining home is. Set on 40 acres near Truckee, California, "Area 214" is completely off the grid, with power from a single solar panel, a wood-fired stove, and an awesome outdoor hot tub. Basich even built a ski lift in his backyard so that he could hot-lap it all day long. Epic. Now if Tahoe could just get some snow.
