This Office in Berlin Has a Designated Space for Penalty Kicks

New, 2 comments

The new headquarters for Onefootball, a mobile app for avid soccer fans, is devoted to the sporting theme. Located in a former factory building in Berlin, the 15,000-square-foot space with artificial grass floors was designed by the Munich firm TKEZ Architecture & Design, and features a green track that circles the open floor plan just in case anyone wants to take an in-office jog. Goal posts are set up against the walls as places for "spontaneous meetings" or office penalty kicks.
Onefootball wanted an open, multi-functional work space, so TKEZ designed an open floor plan with several transparent floor-to-ceiling glazed "thinking spaces" and meeting rooms. The areas can be transformed into private work spaces with "translucent curtains." At the center of the office space is the Onefootball Arena, which features a colored backlit roof and surround sound, making it the ideal space for presentations, company gatherings, and of course, game time.
