An Illicit Look Inside Staten Island's Eerie, Abandoned Hospital

For the past four decades, the Seaview Hospital of Staten Island has sat largely abandoned, and has slipped into ruin. At that, it's become an attraction for vandals and curious picture takers, like the f/11 photography collective who recently took an illicit visit to the hospital's children's ward (h/t Untapped Cities). Seaview, which was once the premiere tuberculosis sanatorium in the country, shares a campus with the New York City Farm Colony, a group of 37 buildings developed between 1905 and 1938 as housing for the poor and infirm.
