Renovating is never easy, particularly when you're trying to renovate an active volcanic island in the middle of the ocean that is home to one of the most isolated towns in the world. That's why the residents of Tristan de Cunha (which has a fascinating history that you should read all about) are holding a competition to see if anyone can come up with new ideas to keep it habitable. We'd like to help, but so far our only idea is: bring them Internet, and it turns out they've had Internet access since 1998. (They even have a website.) Anyone else?
