The only private ski area on the East Coast is breaking ground on a new 95-unit ski in/ski out condo hotel this summer. The Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain is a 1,400-acre enclave in the Deerfield Valley of Southern Vermont. The new condo complex will offer an easy start to skiing with direct access to Haystack Mountain with 5 lifts accessing 1,400 vertical feet of elevation across 194 acres. Additional highlights of the new condo complex include valet parking, locker rooms and bar and dining areas.
This past December the Hermitage Club also opened their brand new 80,000 square foot base lodge that houses multiple dining options, fitness and spa facilities, a family center with bowling alley, even a 42-seat movie theater. The four season resort also offers activities ranging cross country skiing and snowshoeing and recently added a variety of summer water and mountain adventure activities including hiking, swimming and kayaking in addition to golfing at its 18-hole championship golf course.
Completion of the new condo hotel is scheduled for the beginning of the 2016 ski season. Reservations to purchase are now underway with prices starting at $373k into the $1 million range. The Hermitage Club is 2.5 hours from Boston and 4 hours from NYC.
