Frank Lloyd Wright's Famous Coonley House Lists for $2.1M

Earlier this week, Chicago Mag's Ian Spula hinted that Frank Lloyd Wright's famous Avery Coonley House in suburban Riverside would be returning to the market after a nearly three-year hiatus. Earlier today, the Prairie School home officially listed for $2.1 million. Completed in 1910, the Coonley House is one of the largest homes Wright designed. The 6,000-square-foot residence originally sat on 10 acres of property featuring gardens designed by esteemed landscape architect Jens Jensen, however, the home currently occupies a single acre. Totally restored over the last 15 years, the estate features many of Wright's trademark themes, including low-hanging ceilings, art glass windows and long, flat rooflines.
