An abandoned apartment building in Kansas City that was repurposed into an art project in 2012 (a local group painted its 38 doors and window boards to look like a deck of playing cards) fulfilled its apparent destiny today, as the House of Cards collapsed. KSHB Kansas City reports that the building may have been already slated for demolition, but could have gotten lost in the shuffle. (Oof, sorry.) Luckily, there was not a single solitaire-y person inside at the time. (Okay, okay, we'll stop.)
Guess the house doesn't always win.
