Ski Biz

While much of the west languished with high temperatures and little snow this season, Northern New Mexico experienced one of the snowiest winter in years. Taos Ski Valley capitalized on the conditions by extending their season an additional weekend, and between the snow and hype over the resort's new Kachina Peak lift, the ski area is busier than ever. The resort saw a 16% increase in lift ticket sales and a 13% in overall skier visits this year. [The Taos News and Curbed Ski, previously]
