Over in the fishing village of Bang Saray, Thailand, a Swiss family has found their own tropical paradise in the form of a simple, pavilion-style home highlighted by a wrap-around recycled hardwood screen. Bangkok-based firm Architectkidd used a few thin slabs of reinforced concrete as the floors and roof, enclosing the open first floor living, dining, and kitchen areas with steel-framed glazing. The second floor houses a linear block of five bedrooms, each of which opens into a narrow balcony shaded by the timber screen.
