The Real Twin Peaks Tragedy is That Laura Palmer's Living Room Now Looks Like This

New, 2 comments

Twin Peaks fans are currently taking to social media to bemoan director David Lynch's repudiation of the remake of the '90s cult television classic. Lynch won't be directing the show's reboot due to budgetary concerns, but perhaps he was unenthused by beige-ier threats, personified by a recent sale of the IRL Laura Palmer house in Everett, Washington. Say what you will about Lynchian taste decorating moves—retro wood panelling! heavy drapes! blue velvet!—teenage ghosts would have a hard time haunting its current iteration. The sellers, intent on driving away the supernatural and demonic spirits that plagued the Palmer family, relied on a far more effective arsenal: storm windows, stock paintings, and scented candles.
