In 1974, Richard Nixon resigned the office of the presidency, did that weird waving thing, boarded a helicopter, and shipped out to San Clemente, California where he spent the rest of his days brooding and plotting his revenge in an incredibly beautiful mansion that he dubbed La Casa Pacifica. That property is now on the market for $75 million. Apparently, it's a great place to "watch surfers."
