Domaine recently got a behind-the-scenes look at how San Francisco-based firm Hillary Thomas Designs spruced up this 1970s cinderblock home in time for ski season. Blessed with a client who has a splendid art collection, the designers naturally dressed up the chilly grey walls with an assortment of vibrant paintings, including an original by American abstract expressionist painter Helen Frankenthaler. They also added bright green and turquoise furnishings to pop out from the snowy forest backdrop seen in the large windows.
