Yesterday, a group of artist activists secretly installed a bust of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden on top of a Revolutionary War monument in a Brooklyn park. It was promptly removed by the city, but last night another group called The Illuminator took up the torch and projected an image of Snowden into a tree above the war memorial. At this rate, we can expect a Snowden caricature taped to the memorial tomorrow, and possible an abstract Snowden-themed sculpture by next month.
