Los Angeles Is Winning the Streetlight Battle That No One Knew Was Happening

New, 2 comments

Chances are you don't spend a lot of time thinking about what could be to improve your city's streetlights. But people in Los Angeles do/did, and now LA has the coolest, most modern streetlight system in the country. The program, known as CityTouch, involved switching all of the over 141,000 streetlights to LED bulbs (that happened last year) which can now be remotely dimmed or turned up, which means that if the rulers of Los Angeles want things to get real romantic all of a sudden, that's an option. Other cities, consider the gauntlet thrown.
