In the architectural equivalent of your stepfather buying you a Razor Scooter so you'll like him, the British town of Folkestone has commissioned architect Guy Hollaway to design a three-story skatepark with a boxing ring in the basement on the site of an old bingo hall. The idea is to convince the town's young people to not move to away cities when they reach the age where everybody does that, and is "an opportunity to put Folkestone on the map," Hollaway told Dezeen. "To the best of our knowledge this has never been done anywhere else in the world."
