Park City Is Trying to Preserve Collapsed Mineshaft

After starting to collapse on May 8, a mineshaft in Deer Valley now has Park City officials scrambling to preserve the steel structure. According to the Park Record, the derrick and shaft of the historic Daly West Mine, which was originally built sometime after 1912, have collapsed. Now, officials have put up a chain-link fence and are tossing around ideas on how to preserve the relic.
